It follows, then, that St. Alban's should grow to a congregational size between 100 and 324 by the year 2014. Growth can happen if we "welcome those who are weak in faith" (Romans 14:1a)

Membership Potential:

Approximately .09% of U.S. citizens (2,330,000) belong to the Episcopal Church. This ranks it 15th nationally. According to statistics, 42.2 % of all the demomination's churches are small, with an average Sunday attendance of 70 or less. One quarter of these churches appear stable, one quarter are growing, and the others show declines.

Note: Some of the growing congregations are newly-organized churches. The Diocese of Arizona has a full time priest who plants new parishes beginning as home churches.

St. Alban's, in the fastest-growing county in the state of Oregon, has the opportunity to become a growth church as well. The city of Redmond has a population of over 23.500 and is expected to double in 10 years.
