Vestry Notes and Themes
Creative procrastination has some advantages. This long-overdue web update telescopes six months' worth of vestry activity into a broader vista than shown in monthly minutes (available in the office). Patterns emerge. Paths unfold as we follow up on tangled problems. Mission sprouts from a single, simple request.
What themes in our communal life do we see reflected through vestry notes? Mission, money, and transformation in our relationships with each other and the community stand out. The changes have occurred slowly and relatively gently. We trust that the Holy Spirit is answering our prayers, not only in the growth we're experiencing, but also (and maybe more so!) in the challenges we face. As you read the notes and themes below, see if you recognize the themes not only in our congregational life but in your own.
We'll work to update our site more regularly. In the meantime, we give thanks for the holiness of the haphazard that allows us to appreciate God's dynamic action in our midst.
